Welcome to Casey for Congress!

As a working mother of two elementary school children, I am appalled at how out of touch Washington, DC is with today's families. The political parties and the special interests have hijacked our democracy and lost sight of how their decisions affect the day-to-day lives of real people. It's time for the people to restore our democracy and bring common sense and compassion back to Washington.

12 years ago, after graduating from Columbia University in New York and working in Washington, DC, I came to Baton Rouge for an assignment. I instantly fell in love with Louisiana and met my husband Turner. We chose to make Baton Rouge our home and raise our children in the city we believe is America's best kept secret. Through thick and thin, Baton Rouge has been good to us. Now, I would be honored to serve the community that I am proud to call home in as your Representative in Congress.

I am running for Congress as an Independent because I want everyone in Louisiana's 6th District to know that my only agenda is your agenda. The people, not the parties, are my boss. Politicians promise quick fixes but honestly speaking, there are no easy solutions to the problems we face in Health Care, Immigration, the Economy, the Environment, National Security and Education. Real progress will not happen until we elect leaders who check their personal agendas at the door.

If you believe that one mom can make a difference, please consider joining the Casey for Congress team. Share your story, tell me you REALLY think and what you want me to do for you in Congress. Together, we will restore the government by the people, for the people and of the people.
